Navigating everyday interactions between people with disabilities and artificial intelligence

Summary

This study will explore how people with disabilities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds use and interact with AI in everyday lives, and how these interactions shape meaningful participation. It will also examine how lived experiences can influence AI governance, helping to optimise the benefits and reduce the risks of AI for people with disabilities.

Impact

This research will bring lived experiences of people with disabilities into discussions about the rapid development of AI. It will also contribute to debate and discussion about inclusive AI governance and policy.
