Summary

This project was funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguards Commission to support reform in behaviour support practices within the NDIS. It delivered evidence-based recommendations, including a 5-year roadmap designed to align NDIS behaviour support services with contemporary positive behaviour support (PBS) practices, and foster a more professional and consistent approach across the field.

Impact

This project delivered evidence-based recommendations to support NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission to realise the intended otucome of reform efforts; ultimately, towards strengthening the capability of practitioners to reduce regulated restrictive practices, uphold the rights of people with disability, and directly support the NDIS Commission’s goal of providing safe, equitable, and person-centred services to NDIS participants.
